Actress to become mum for the first time

Parminder Nagra starred in Bend It Like Beckham alongside Keira Knightley

ER star Parminder Nagra is expecting her first child with photographer boyfriend James Stenson.

The actress, who plays Dr Neela Rasgotra in the US show, is due to give birth in the summer.

‘We are thrilled and overjoyed at the prospect of becoming first time parents,’ she says.

‘There are no plans to write the pregnancy in the show. I feel like I will want to work, but who knows what I’ll feel like when the baby arrives.’

Parminder, 33, and James hope to tie the knot in the near future.

‘Our plans are to get married but there’s no confirmed date yet,’ she tells Access Hollywood.

‘We have been together for nearly seven years.’
