Director wants to ease tensions with ex-wife
Monday, 1 December 2008
Guy Ritchie is said to want ex Madonna over for Xmas festivities this year.
The family has never celebrated Christmas because of Madge's Kabbalah beliefs.
But now that they’ve separated Guy, 40, wants to get sons Rocco, 8, and adopted David Banda, 3, into the spirit of the season.
He’s reportedly invited Madonna, 50, and her daughter Lourdes, 12, to make sure his plan gets their seal of approval.
‘Guy will have the boys at Christmas,’ a source tells the Daily Express. ‘He wants to treat them like kings and celebrate the old-fashioned way.
'It’s not something that’s happened in the past because it’s not in accordance with Kabbalah.
‘He has asked his ex-wife and her daughter to join them. Even though she doesn’t celebrate, Guy thinks it’s a good way to prove to the kids they are still their top priority.’
The couple were granted a decree nisi last month.
