Sir Bob Geldof invites couple for Christmas lunch

Peaches Geldof in living in the States while studying at New York University

Sir Bob Geldof has finally met daughter Peaches’ husband Max Drummey.

The couple helped the Boomtown Rats singer celebrate his 54th birthday in New York.

‘Max and I were flying back from London on my dad’s birthday,’ she says. ‘He was having dinner in New York with Bono and some other friends, so me and Max joined them. They got on well.’

The meal was such a success that Sir Bob has invited Chester French star Max, 24, and Peaches, 19, to join him for Christmas.  

‘My family want to have a proper Christmas this year,’ she tells the Sunday Mirror. ‘We're just waiting to see if Max can fit it into his schedule.

'He has been on tour promoting his new record and he has lots of gigs lined up.’

The pair tied the knot in a secret Las Vegas ceremony in August.
