Gems loaned to actress have been misplaced

Winona Ryder stars in the new Star Trek film

Over £82,000 worth of gems loaned to Winona Ryder for a party have gone missing.

The actress borrowed the Bulgari bracelet and ring for a Marie Claire do in Spain last weekend.

But the jewels have not been seen since Winona reportedly left them with staff at the Madrid hotel where she was staying.

Winona, 37, who was hospitalised in London on 19 November after falling ill during a flight, was convicted of shoplifting in 2001.

A spokesman for Bulgari refused to comment on the story last night and Winona's spokesman was not available for comment.
