Hugh Jackman: George Clooney is jealous of my Sexiest Man Alive title

Former ER star upset he lost out in People poll

George Clooney was beaten in the poll by Matt Damon last year

George Clooney has been making cheeky late-night phone calls to Hugh Jackman.

The X-Men star was recently crowned the Sexiest Man Alive in a People Magazine poll.

But 2-time winner George, 47, wasn’t happy about losing his title.  

‘George Clooney rang me at 2 in the morning,’ says Hugh. ‘I was half asleep and I said to him: “Ah, George sweetie, good to hear from you.”

'He goes: “Shut up, Jackman! I know what you did! You started this big campaign that's been going on and you took the title away from me.”’

Hugh, 40, has also been given a hard time about the accolade from his dad Chris.

‘My father found it really uncomfortable. He said: “I can't really talk to you about being sexy. It's a little weird.”

'Mind you, I'm still waiting for the birds and the bees pitch from him. That hasn't happened either.’
