Jade Goody: I’m getting bald patches

Reality TV star says cancer treatment is causing hair loss

Jade Good was told she had cervical cancer while appearing in Bigg Boxx, the Indian version of Big Brother

Jade Goody has revealed that she's beginning to lose her hair due to radio and chemotherapy sessions.

The reality TV star, 27, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in the summer and underwent an emergency hysterectomy.

She's since been having intensive treatment in a bid to cure the cancer.

‘Even though I’m having a break from treatment, I’m getting bald patches on my head now, which is awful,’ she says.

‘My hair’s falling out on my pillow and it’s literally doing my head in! Because it’s so short, I can’t really disguise the patches.’

But Jade – who has been given a 50% chance of making a full recovery - is determined to stay upbeat.

‘It’s nothing to be embarrassed about,’ she says. 'There are plenty of people out there in the same boat as me or with alopecia.

'I’m going to look like a hard-boiled egg, but it doesn’t really matter. Life and health are far more important than having hair.’
