Reality star pays tribute to jailed boyfriend

Jade Goody has been told she has a 50% chance of surviving her cervical cancer

Jade Goody has got a new tattoo on her wrist.

The reality star was inked with ‘Jack’ at a parlour near her home in Upshire, Essex, yesterday, as a tribute to jailed boyfriend Jack Tweed, 21. She has spoken openly of the support he's given her since she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.

But medical experts say Jade, 27, could be at risk of infection because of the chemotherapy treatment she's undergoing.

‘Most oncologists certainly wouldn’t advise [getting a tattoo] while a patient is having chemotherapy,’ GP Julian Spinks tells the Daily Star.

‘There’s two problems – one is that chemotherapy lowers the immune system and an infection can become far more serious because of that. The other is that healing will take a lot longer.’

In September Jack was sentenced to 18 months for attacking a teenager with a golf club in 2006.
