Rhydian Roberts: I’ll marry Katherine Jenkins one day

The X Factor runner-up reckons opera singer is his ideal woman

Rhydian Roberts sang a duet with Katherine Jenkins on The X Factor

Rhydian Roberts reckons he’s destined to be with fellow Welshman Katherine Jenkins.

The X Factor 2007 runner-up has a huge crush on the 28-year-old opera singer and is waiting for her boyfriend Gethin Jones, 30, to step aside.

‘Some days I wake up and wish I was Gethin!’ he says. ‘I meet gorgeous women, but they’re always taken – like Katherine. But I’ll marry her one day!’

Rhydian, 25, who recently split from make-up artist Julia Carter, 37, also has a soft spot for his X Factor mentor Dannii Minogue, 37.

And he says her boyfriend Kris Smith, 30, is jealous of him.  

‘I’ve said I fancied her in the past and now her boyfriend wants to knock me out,' he says. 'So I’d better stay away for now!’
