Geri Halliwell reckons she's responsible for Cheryl Cole's success.
Ginger Spice was one of the judges on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, the show that created Girls Aloud.
And the 36-year-old is convinced she was responsible for spotting her talent when she auditioned.
‘I’m so proud of Cheryl Cole,’ Geri tells the Daily Record. ‘I really fought hard to put her through.
'I love that I opened that little window of opportunity for her and now she’s run with it.’
Cheryl, 25, is now a judge on The X Factor.

ROFL!!!! As if!
Geri is deluded. All the judges loved Cheryl cos she's gorgeous, mainly. Pete Waterman was practically dribbling. She got straight through.
