The reality star's battle with cancer has won her sympathy from the public

From the moment Jade Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer, she's faced her battle in the public eye.
She found out the news while starting a stint on Indian Big Brother – known as Bigg Boss – and since then her trials have been documented on the Living TV show Living With Jade Goody.
But while some were quick to criticise her decision to make her experience so public, a second series of the show will now hit screens following the huge public response.
‘Jade’s always said that she has no choice but to carry on working to support her two boys,’ a friend tells Now.
‘She’s been overwhelmed by the public response. One of the things that really makes her happy, apart from all the letters and cards, is the fact that more women are getting themselves checked out as a result of her case.
'It means her decision to talk about having cancer and allow herself to be filmed was the right one.’
Jade, 27, says she still has good days and bad days and is currently enjoying a three-week break after a bout of radiotherapy before starting chemotherapy next month.
Rehearsals are also due to start for a Christmas pantomime, which Jade’s determined to continue with.
‘She gets tired, but she’s using her sense of humour to help her through it,’ the friend adds.
‘She’s delighted that she’s getting so much support from viewers and well-wishers. It really means a lot to her.’

i really feel for jade with what she is going though. i found out that i had cancer around the same time jade did and i thought that was the end, i kept thinking im a 19 year old young girl why is this happening to me? i started my treatment strait away and am now 4months though it i hopefully only have 5more left and then can try and start living my life again, i have lost all my hair and feel sick all the time but am told all the time that things will get better and god gave me cancer for a reason hopefully thats true and i will get a good thing happen soon. i really hope things work out for the best for jade, and all i can say to the people who have cancer keep your chin up and keep smiling we can all beat this xxx
I just wanted to say Jade Goody is a truelly remarkeable and inspirational woman. I am an Indian women and I feel discusted with how Jade has been treated by her critics. She deserves to be treated as a good human being as she has suffered enough...We should all learn to forgive before it is too late! She is going through probably the hardest time of her life. I think people should stop critising her as she is in a critical state of her cancer. We should forgive her what she has said and done. We all make mistakes. She has tried her hardest to make amends. It takes a great person to own up to thier mistakes and take responsibility for thier actions. Jade has done more than that she deserves respects as a great woman who has gone the extra mile to rebuild her reputation. She deserves the deepest sympathy and I truelly feel for her too. I wish her all the best and hope she gets better soon for her kids & family sake and we do love her.

just wanted to let you know that Jade Goody has inspired me. She is so brave. As a mother, i know how heart-breaking it must be to say goodbye to her children. It makes me fill up every time i think about it. In all her pics ibn the press, she looks so together. How is she doing it? She is truely remarkable in my eyes and i applaude her.
