Culture Club singer denies the allegations

Boy George handcuffed a male escort and beat him with a chain after accusing him of tampering with his computer, a court heard.

The Culture Club star is facing trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court for unlawfully imprisoning Audun Carlsen at his home in Shoreditch, east London.

The 29-year-old claims the singer and a male accomplice ambushed him in April 2007 after meeting on social networking website Gaydar.

‘I could not move,’ Audun told the jury. ‘The other man didn't beat me he just helped George to hold me down. George was slapping me and beating me and punching me and screaming things.

‘I was so scared. I managed to get loose and I started running. He tried to stop me but I ran for the front door.

'I took a bit of time getting the door open and he had a metal chain that he was hitting me with.’

Audun insists he was not taking part in a sex game with Boy George, and never agreed to be cuffed.

Boy George, 46, real name George O'Dowd, denies the charges. The trial continues.
