Footballer punished for playing soccer in street

Wayne Rooney has revealed that coppers once confiscated his football.
The Manchester United star was told off for having a kick about in the road in Croxteth, Liverpool.
‘I went out on the streets and played there,’ he tells The Sun.
‘When I was about 16, I got my ball taken off me by the police for playing in the street — which is pathetic, really.’
