Paris Hilton is said to be desperate to rekindle her romance with Benji Madden.
The heiress announced her split from the Good Charlotte star last week, despite admitting that she still loved him.
And now Paris, 27, is thought to be bombarding Benji, 29, with texts to win him back.
She’s even reported to have raced to an LA nightclub with her pal Avril Lavigne, 24, when she heard he was there.
‘Her friends reckoned it was a bad idea and when Paris and Avril set off in a cab, one thought Benji should be warned,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.
'He went mad. The minute he put the phone down he ran out of the club. They missed each other by a few seconds. Paris was devastated.
‘She feels she's had a raw deal. She thinks some of his friends have been whispering things about her, making him jealous,' the insider adds.
'When she met Prince William in London recently they flirted, but it was all perfectly innocent. Yet Benji thought she was making a fool of him and couldn't handle it any more.’
