Veteran star wants to go out while he's on top
Monday, 24 November 2008
Clint Eastwood has announced his retirement from acting.
The Dirty Harry legend will bow out with forthcoming movie Gran Torino, which he also directs.
‘That will probably do it for me as far as acting is concerned,’ he tells the Daily Telegraph.
‘You always want to quit while you’re ahead. You don’t want to be like a fighter who stays too long in the ring until you’re not performing at your best.’
Clint, 78, plans to continue directing.
His new film Changeling, starring Angelina Jolie, 33, is out on Friday.
