Big Pictures UK Limited have to pay actress
Monday, 24 November 2008
Sienna Miller has won a harassment case against a photo agency.
The actress sued Big Pictures UK Limited and founder Darryn Lyons over claims they breached her human rights.
They've agreed to pay her £53,000, which will be made up of £37,000 in damages plus legal costs, following the High Court ruling on Friday.
Big Pictures UK Limited have also vowed not to pursue Sienna, 26, or camp outside her home anymore.
‘It's not a binding court ruling but it may well encourage other celebrities and those followed in such a way to take action,’ says her lawyer Mark Thomson.
‘We hope that people will back off my client as a result of this.’
Sienna accepted a £35,000 settlement from The Sun and the News Of The World earlier this month over claims they breached her privacy with a series of articles and photos published in June and July.
