Rhydian Roberts is still in contact with X Factor judge Dannii Minogue.
The singer narrowly lost out on winning the ITV show last year to Leon Jackson, 19.
But he still chats to his former mentor Dannii, 37, on a regular basis.
‘Me and Dannii text each other once a week,’ he says.
‘It’s mostly flirting. There’s always a little bit of that going on between Dannii and myself.’
Rhydian, 25, reckons she gets a hard time on the show now judge Cheryl Cole, 25, has arrived.
‘I think people lay into Dannii too much,’ he tells Celebs On Sunday.
‘She’s got quite a lot of depth, she’s very intelligent and I think she’s pretty damn hot.’
