Brandy released her first album at 15

Brandy has come clean about her fake marriage.

The singer announced she’d secretly wed her boyfriend Robert Smith in 2002, just four months before giving birth to their daughter Sy’rai.

She maintained that they had tied the knot in secret the year before.

‘I lied because of the fear of what people would think and the pressure to be a good role model,’ she tells Us Weekly.

‘Our relationship was very real, we just weren't legally married.'
