Jennifer Garner takes legal action against stalker

Actress says she fears for her safety

Jennifer Garner married Ben Affleck in June 2005

Jennifer Garner has obtained a restraining order against an obsessive fan.

The actress - who is pregnant with her second child with husband Ben Affleck - claims Steven Burky has been ‘stalking and harassing’ her.

In court documents she states that he follows her round the country and sends her 'packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts'.

‘I am currently pregnant and fear for the safety of my second child once born,’ she says.

‘His obsessive and harassing behaviour has escalated to the point of becoming dangerous and threatening.’

A judge issued a temporary restraining order against and placed Mr Burky in the care of a mental hospital.

A hearing will be held Thursday to the make the ruling permanent.

Jennifer and Ben, both 36, have a daughter Violet, who turns 3 next month.
