Actress rushed to hospital after touching down at Heathrow
Thursday, 20 November 2008
Winona Ryder was immediately taken to hospital after landing in London yesterday.
The actress, 37, was flying from LA to Heathrow Airport when she became ill.
The British Airways pilot requested a priority landing so the star could seek help at Hillingdon Hospital.
‘The passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment,’ says a BA spokesman. ‘The plane touched down shortly before noon UK time.
'Our passenger services staff went with her to hospital. We wish her well.’
Winona has now been discharged, and her rep has played down the reports.
‘She did fall ill on a plane and as a precautionary measure they took her to a hospital,’ says Mara Buxbaum.
‘She was there for an hour. She’s in good health. There’s no drama.’
