Simon Cowell thinks Mariah Carey is no longer the star she once was.
The X Factor judge believes she's made a mistake in trying a different style of music.
‘To me, the greatest singer is Mariah Carey,’ he tells Live magazine. ‘But she’s lost it.
‘She needs to go back to singing ballads.’
Simon, 49, believes Leona Lewis could be a bigger star than Mariah, 38.
‘It’s the reason Leona could top her,’ he says.
‘You have to stick with doing what you do best. Be honest. Know yourself.’

I think Simon's lost it. I guess a great singer is supposed to be dull & boring & never supposed to experiment with new sounds & techniques. He needs to retire now & fast.
Where were you Simon? She lost it since 2001 Glitter. Her vocal trademark is her ability to sing in the whistle register has becoming redundant as well as her 18th US Number One Single (bland, insipid and uninspiring) in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart; based on the airplay not sales. True what they say..less is always more!
