Downpours make Away Camp uninhabitable
Wednesday, 19 November 2008
All 10 campers were united in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! last night.
The stars had been divided into 2 camps on the first day – the more comfortable Home Camp and the basic Away camp, which has nothing but the ground to sleep on.
But after days of torrential rain, conditions in Away Camp went from bad to worse and 3 contestants threatened to leave the show.
Esther Rantzen, Robert Kilroy-Silk and Simon Webbe all said they would walk out if things didn't improve.
‘Things got really bad in the Away Camp and it was starting to become uninhabitable,’ a source tells The Sun.
‘Producers got really worried that Esther, Robert and Simon might leave, so they decided to move them all to Home Camp early.
‘The weather has been so bad the camp was in serious danger of being flooded and there were health and safety implications.’
