Singer says she doesn't have an agenda with her music
Sunday, 23 November 2008
Katy Perry sparked controversy with her saucy lyrics for hit single I Kissed A Girl.
But the 24-year-old singer says people shouldn't take her message too seriously.
‘My songs are just a snapshot of everything I’m going through,’ Katy says.
‘Maybe they’re a little exaggerated for the sake of telling a really good story. It’s not an agenda, I’m not turning the whole world bisexual.’
And Katy says her pastor mum and dad have not disowned her for sexual experimentation.
‘They’re my parents and they love me,’ she tells Grazia. ‘They know that I’m a bit sassy, but I’ve always been that way.’
