Charlotte Church is expecting her second child just after Christmas

Charlotte Church’s mum has turned down her daughter's request to share Christmas dinner at her home.

The singer was planning to cook for the whole family, along with fella Gavin Henson, 26, and daughter Ruby, 1.

But Maria Church doesn’t agree with Charlotte's decision to slaughter the 2 geese she’s been raising at her Welsh countryside home.

‘Charlotte has had the birds since they were chicks and has fed them up over the year,’ she says.

‘She even calls them “Christmas” and “Dinner”, but there’s no way I could eat the birds after seeing them grow up.’

Instead, Maria has decided to pay a quick visit to the 22-year-old before returning home for her meal.

‘Charlotte always has a magic Christmas – she really goes out of her way to make it special for the family,’ she says.

‘We’ll go up there in the morning to see her, Gav and Ruby, but we won’t be staying for dinner.’
