Simon Cowell & Terri Seymour dated for six years

Simon Cowell has revealed Terri Seymour ended things with him over the phone.

The pair split in the summer because The X Factor judge wasn’t ready to have children.

‘Terri decided to dump me. She sent me a text,’ he tells US show Extra.

But the 34-year-old says she wasn’t that harsh.

‘I didn't dump you - it was just time,’ she said in a joint interview. ‘We had a great six years and we are the best of friends.’

And Simon, 49, denies giving Terri a financial parting gift.

‘If anything, I should be getting the money,’ he jokes. ‘Rumours go around, but there was no £5million.’
