Star speaks for first time since family tragedy
Monday, 17 November 2008
Jennifer Hudson is grateful for the support she's had from fans following the deaths of three members of her family.
The Oscar winner's mum Darnell, 57, and brother Jason, 29, were killed at their home in Chicago last month.
And her seven-year-old nephew Julian King was later found dead in an abandoned car suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
Now Jennifer, 27, who appeared in Sex And The City: The Movie, has finally spoken out about her loss.
‘I want to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time,’ she writes on her MySpace blog.
‘My sister and I take great comfort and strength from your love and concern. JHud.’
She has also changed her profile picture to one of her nephew Julian.
Jennifer’s brother-in-law William Balfour, Julian’s stepdad, had been questioned by police but has not been charged.
