Comedian says he needs his ego massaging
Friday, 26 December 2008
Russell Brand admits he gets upset if people say mean things about him.
The comedian, 33, doesn't take criticism very well.
‘I'm a very sensitive person,’ he says. 'So I don't like to read or hear anything negative about myself, under any circumstances at all.'
And he says it can make him quite an awkward person to work with.
'I'm a difficult actor to direct,' he tells The Observer magazine.
'Because if the director says anything other than, "That was brilliant, amazing - how do you think of these ideas? Why, you're so clever and very handsome", I'm like: "Oh fine, f*ck you!"
'I'd feel hurt, but I'd also think, "Leave me alone, I'm trying my hardest!"'
