Comedian hates to be criticised
Sunday, 30 November 2008
Russell Brand has revealed that he struggles to deal with any negative press.
The controversial comedian says he can't stand criticism because he's easily hurt.
‘I’m a very sensitive person,’ he says. 'I don’t like to read or hear anything negative about myself, under any circumstances at all.’
Russell, 33, caused a public backlash last month after making prank phone calls to actor Andrew Sachs on his BBC Radio 2 show.
The star resigned from the BBC after complaints about the calls, in which he boasted of sleeping with the Fawlty Towers star's granddaughter Georgina Baillie, 23.
‘I did a daft thing and I take responsibility,’ he tells The Observer.
‘There was no malicious intent.’

Don't worry Russell, you have more fans than ever after this very contrived 'scandal'. As you will know.
Ridiculous. I have a recording of this show from his podcast and there was absolutely nothing rude from Russell directed towards the aged actor that was called, and Russel did nothing but apologize on the show for his guest's salacious comments (I f**ked your grandaughter). Seriously, humor? Wasn't this old man on Fawlty Towers? Much angst over nothing.
