Singer says her whirlwind romance with Nick Cannon is stronger than ever

Mariah Carey has silenced critics who claimed her relationship wouldn't last, insisting that married life with Nick Cannon is great.

The 39-year-old singer wed toyboy Nick, 28, in April following a 6-week romance. But despite rumours that they’re on the rocks, they recently celebrated their 6-month anniversary.

And Mariah is confident their marriage will last.

‘People were confused at first because it was so fast. But it’s perfectly normal to us. It just feels like this is how it was always supposed to be.

‘Married life’s great. Nick’s great. He’s very smart and loving. We have fun. We have a great time together. We’re best friends.’
