EXCLUSIVE Liz McClarnon: I want to be like Angelina Jolie

Singer says she'd like to do more charity work

Liz McClarnon admires Angelina Jolie for her charity work

Liz McClarnon wants to follow in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and become a UN Goodwill Ambassador.

The ex-Atomic Kitten thinks it’s important for people to do their bit for charity.

‘I think Angelina does mega stuff and really gets involved and devotes most of her life to it,’ she tells Now Online. ‘I think you should do as much as you can.’

Liz is currently supporting World Vision’s 24 Hour Famine campaign after a visit to Zambia with fellow bandmate Jenny Frost.

‘We saw first hand what World Vision does for people there,’ she says. ‘It was just phenomenal.

‘I would absolutely love to go back to places like that.'

The World Vision 24 Hour Famine weekend is taking place between 13 - 15 February 2009. The target this year is to raise £300,000.

For more information about the World Vision 24 Hour Famine and how you can get involved, visit www.thepinkcity.org or call 01908 84 12 12.
