Actress can't give up nursing daughter Valentina
Thursday, 13 November 2008
Salma Hayek has admitted that she doesn’t want to stop feeding her daughter Valentina.
The actress, 42, gave birth to the 14-month-old tot – whose father is Salma's former fiancé Francois-Henri Pinault, 46 – in September last year.
And she’s keen to carry on breastfeeding for as long as she can.
‘I'm like an alcoholic,’ she says. ‘It is like, I don't care if I cry, I don't care if I am fat, I am just going to do it for one more week, one more month.
'And then when I see how much good it is doing her and I can't stop.’
But Salma – who split with Francois-Henri 10 months after Valentina was born – says it does have some downsides.
‘The myth that says you lose all this weight when you breastfeed? That is so not true!’ she tells Fox News.
‘It's like, please, will everyone stop telling me I look really well.’
