Kanye West blames himself for mum's death

Rapper says his career changed her life

Kanye West's mum Donda died in 2007

Kanye West thinks his mum's death was down to his fame.

Donda West died following complications from cosmetic surgery in November last year.

And the rapper is convinced she'd still be alive if she hadn’t relocated to be near him.

‘I feel like I moved to California, then my mum to California, and she did stuff she wouldn’t have done if we’d stayed in Chicago.

‘If I’d never made it in the music business, it never would’ve happened.’

Kanye, 31, says he's struggling to adjust to life without her.

‘Losing my mum, having no woman to support me – I feel like I’m on my own and can only express it through my music,' he confesses. ‘I’m super devastated.'
