Louis Walsh: Terri Seymour was too good for Simon Cowell

Irish X Factor judge says his pal will never settle down

Louis Walsh is mentoring the groups in this year's X Factor

Louis Walsh has admitted that he wasn't surprised when Terri Seymour dumped Simon Cowell.

The couple announced their separation last week.

Louis, 56, thinks 34-year-old presenter Terri will now be able to find someone better.

‘I always thought she was too good for Simon,’ he says. ‘She’s a great girl and far too nice for him. I love her to bits.

‘Something about Simon attracts mad, crazy women. He’s surrounded by very beautiful, but crazy women – and he loves them like that.’

Louis reckons Simon, 49, is destined to remain a bachelor.

‘Even though he’ll celebrate his 50th birthday next year, he’ll never settle down,’ he says. ‘He’s just not interested.’

Meanwhile, Jason Donovan has revealed that he wants to take Louis' place on The X Factor panel.

'I've never been asked to be a judge on one of those shows, but I would consider it,' he says.

'Who knows? Maybe Louis Walsh needs a break and the big JD could come in for a series?'
