Stephen Belafonte: Mel B made me wait for sex

Couple didn't want to ruin their friendship

Mel B & Stephen Belafonte were pals

Stephen Belafonte has revealed his wife Mel B wouldn't put out at the start of their relationship.

The couple renewed their wedding vows in Egypt last week in front of family and friends.

But Stephen, 33, confesses they took things slowly to begin with.

'I was worried that if it wasn't going to work out it would ruin our friendship, so I played it cool,' he says.

'And, for the record, she made me wait...a long time. That was no easy task.’

And Mel thinks it's strengthened their bond.

'If someone makes you wait, that's a good thing,' she says. 'Just having sex can cloud your brain.'

Mel, 33, and Stephen wed in June last year after just three months together.

She is mum to daughter Phoenix Chi, 9, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.

The former Spice Girl also has two-year-old Angel with ex Eddie Murphy, 47.
