Royal makes 18-year-old blush at homeless charity Centrepoint
Friday, 7 November 2008
Prince William last night told a young girl to imagine him naked – in a bid to steady her nerves.
The prince was at a reception to launch the 40th anniversary of the homeless charity Centrepoint when he met Jasmine Edwards.
The 18-year-old was trying to explain how much she appreciated the organisation when she started stammering.
So Wills told her to think about him in the buff. 'Don't worry about it, imagine me naked,' he told her.
'I wanted to tell him about how incredible Centrepoint has been, getting me onto a gardening course and finding me accommodation,' Jasmine tells the Daily Mail.
'I couldn't quite believe what he said, but I really liked talking to him and hope I can meet him again.'
Centrepoint helps young people in London who are sleeping rough. It was one of the first charities William, 26, became involved and is one his mum Princess Diana was associated with.
IPC Media Limited, owner of nowmagazine.co.uk, will collect the address of the recipient solely to process your requests.
Centrepoint successfully works in partnership with LB Sutton to accommodate Jasmine, and others like her. The borough felt Centrepoint was best placed to meet her needs as she moved on from care and so referred her to us. Centrepoint's employment and learning support complements that provided by the borough. Clare Norton, Regional Director of Services Centrepoint
