Kate Beckinsale and Victoria Beckham often watch soccer matches together

Kate Beckinsale says pal Victoria Beckham often makes her laugh.

The pair both live in LA and like to meet up with their families or for a girly chat.

‘Victoria is lovely and very down-to-earth,’ says Kate. ‘She loves taking the piss out of herself, which is a good thing as far as I’m concerned. We laugh a lot together.’

The actress is also impressed by 34-year-old Posh’s fashion sense.
 
‘Victoria’s line of dresses is fantastic and I’m really proud of her,’ she tells Elle. ‘I’d definitely wear one of them, provided I could fit my bum into it!’

Kate, 35, who battled anorexia as a teenager, says friends like Victoria have helped make her comfortable in her own skin.

‘I am a lot more body confident now I’m in my thirties,' she admits, 'and am in better shape, too.'
