Rep said GMTV got it wrong in November but now the news is out

Tess Daly IS having a baby.

The Strictly Come Dancing presenter has confirmed that she and husband Vernon Kay - mum and dad to Phoebe Elizabeth, 4 - are expecting a second child.

'We are over the moon about the prospect of a new addition to our family,' Tess tells The Daily Mirror.

'We're very much looking forward to having a brother or sister for Phoebe.'

Tess, 37, had an increasingly rounded tummy in her glamorous Strictly dresses as the final approached but just dismissed it as a 'fat belly'.

An announcement on GMTV last month that Tess was pregnant was rubbished by her rep on 6 November.

‘GMTV did not fact check this story and we are trying to find out why this was announced live on air without our knowledge,’ spokeswoman Katherine Lister told Now Online.
