TV star makes light of her cervical cancer
Thursday, 6 November 2008
Jade Goody wants her friends to understand what it will be like for her to lose her hair.
The reality TV star, 27, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August.
And she was told her locks would fall out as a result of chemotherapy.
‘I’m going to give all my mates bald caps and make them go out in them – they don’t know this yet,' she says.
'I feel as though if I can laugh I won’t be hurt.’
Jade doesn’t want her sons Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4, to know the real reason she’s losing her barnet.
‘They think I’ve got tadpoles in my belly,’ she says.
'When I go to hospital the machine makes the tadpoles go to sleep, which makes me tired.
'And when the tadpoles die, my hair falls out.’
Doctors have told Jade she has a 50 per cent chance of making a full recovery.
