Director said to have recruited Stephen Cobb QC
Wednesday, 5 November 2008
Guy Ritchie has apparently hired a lawyer who specialises in international divorces.
The director has reportedly been consulting with Stephen Cobb QC who deals with cases in which the country of residence of the children is in dispute.
Guy, 40, is thought to be keen for sons Rocco, 8, and adopted David Banda, 3, to stay in the UK.
But Madonna, 50, who also has daughter Lourdes, 12, with Carlos Leon, is understood to want to raise the kids in New York.
'Stephen Cobb is acting for Guy Ritchie,' a source tells the Evening Standard.
'There are only a handful of barristers who specialise in
leave-to-remove applications and he is the best in that area.'
The couple announced last month that they were divorcing after eight years of marriage.
