Dancing On Ice star blames ex Darren Day

Suzanne Shaw was left heartbroken after Darrey Day walked out on her in 2005

Suzanne Shaw has revealed that she's suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as ME.

The singer was diagnosed last month after a series of tests.

She thinks it was brought on by the stress she suffered after ex- fiancé Darren Day, 40, walked out on her and their son 3 years ago.

‘I went to the doctor because I was constantly exhausted,’ Suzanne says.

‘I had tests and was told I had anaemia and a form of ME. It can be triggered by stressful events from the past, but doesn’t surface until years later.

'I went to hell and back when Darren left me and I’m sure that’s the cause. Luckily I’ve started treatment and I’m starting to feel a lot better.’

Suzanne, 27, has finally found happiness with Absolute Radio DJ Jason King, 33, who she has been dating since 2005. They got engaged in August.

‘My family are so thrilled,’ she tells the Sunday Mirror.

‘If you’d told me 3 years ago this is how everything would have turned out, I would never have believed it.’
