Actor also considered suicide
Monday, 3 November 2008
Mickey Rourke has revealed he came close to killing a man who raped someone close to him.
The actor also planned to take his own life after the murder and even penned a suicide note.
‘I was about to commit two mortal sins,’ he tells Maxim.
Fortunately, Mickey, 52, was talked out of it by New York priest Peter Colapietro.
‘He had a letter he'd written - a note of a conciliatory nature,' says Father Pete.
'I told him: "Let's fold it up and put it behind the statue of St Jude".'

St. Jude is known as the Patron Saint of Hopeless and Desperate Cases. Thank you Father Pete and St Jude for guiding Mickey back from a dark abyss. Also, much thanks to Mickey's therapist and a BIG round of applause to Mickey for calling Tom Cruise a c**t in response to TC's comments about Brooke Shields and postpartum depression.
