Ryan Reynolds was tired after the race

Ryan Reynolds took part in the New York City Marathon yesterday.

The actor finished the 26.2 mile race in just under 4 hours, coming in a respectable 9,646th place.

New wife Scarlett Johansson, 23, cheered him along the way.

Ryan, 31, raised money for the Michael J Fox Foundation, which helps sufferers of Parkinson’s Disease.

The star chose the charity after witnessing his own dad's 15 year battle with the illness.
