Caprice: My mum told me I was full of sh*t

Model admits she was spoiled

Caprice recently launched her new lingerie line in Next

Caprice Bourret became so shallow when she was modelling that her mum had a go at her.

The model, who launched her lingerie range, By Caprice, 3 years ago, let fame go to her head.

‘When I was in the limelight I believed all the bullshit,’ she reveals. ‘I was famous for being famous – fabulous for being fabulous.

'I was spoiled – you get free stuff, can book any restaurant. It was a very privileged life.

‘Then my mum sat me down and said, “You’re so full of shit. This isn’t who I raised. You’re not the person you once were.”’

And Caprice, who was banned from driving for a year in 2006 for drink-driving, was determined to change.

'The transition was difficult,' she tells OK! 'But it was my own decision to back out and work hard.

'Suddenly I wasn't having designers giving me free clothes every two seconds or getting work for a few days and being paid a million quid.'

Caprice, 37, has been dating property developer John Hitchcox for 2 years.
