Philip Seymour Hoffman becomes a dad for third time

Oscar-winning actor thrilled to have a daughter

Philip Seymour Hoffman and Mimi O'Donnell have been together for 9 years

Phillip Seymour Hoffman's partner Mimi O'Donnell has given birth to a baby girl.

The Oscar-winning actor, already dad to Cooper, 5, and Tallulah, 23 months, was with Mimi when she went into labour on Friday night.

‘I'm a little out of my head. I had a baby two days ago,’ he said at annual Celebrity Charades benefit for New York City's LAByrinth Theater Company on Sunday.

‘A little girl. Dad duties. Everyday life stuff is pretty overwhelming.’

Phillip met Mimi on the set of the play In Arabia We'd All Be Kings, which he directed.
