Britney Spears' dad Jamie has been granted permanent legal control of the singer's affairs, a court ruled yesterday.
Jamie Spears was put in charge of his daughter’s personal and financial dealings in February, shortly after she was hospitalised.
His conservatorship was due to end on 31 December, but was extended after a closed chambers meeting.
A lawyer for Britney, 26, said she had no objection.
‘The court finds the proposed permanent conservatorship is necessary and appropriate [because of the] complexities of her financial and business entities and also potential for her being susceptible to influences,’ said Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz.SEE GALLERY Britney Spears: From pop princess to fallen star and back again>>
