Tuesday, 28 October 2008
Catherine Zeta-Jones is in talks to appear in rock ‘n’ roll version of the Cleopatra story.
The actress, 39, is set to play the Egyptian queen in the new movie, which will be directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Hugh Jackman has also been approached about the role of her Roman lover Marc Anthony, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The big-budget film will be set in the 1920s, rather than ancient Egypt, and would be Catherine’s second big-screen musical.
She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Chicago.
