David Beckham: I'll never be a movie star

Footballer has no plans to launch a film career

David and Victoria Beckham now live in LA with their three sons

David Beckham says he won't go into acting once his playing days are over.

The LA Galaxy star doesn't intend to take on any movie roles.

‘What film career? I haven’t got one,’ he tells GQ magazine.

‘Never say never, except about that! And that’s the way it’s going to stay.’

But that won't stop David, 33, mixing with Hollywood pals like Tom Cruise.

‘He came round for dinner a few weeks ago,’ he says. ‘It’s not a big deal.

'It’s just popping round to watch a film or mess around with the kids.’

David says Tom, 46, has not tried to convert him or Victoria, 34, to Scientology.

‘He’s never pushed anything on to us about it and he never will do,' he says. 'Friends don’t do that.’
