Girls Aloud: People think we're a bunch of bitches

Pop group claim people expect them to be catty

Girls Aloud say they are labelled as bitchy because they're in a girl band.

Nicola Roberts, 23, and Sarah Harding, 23, insist it comes with the territory.

'People think cos we’re five girls that we’re a bunch of bitches,’ they tell the Daily Star.

‘And we’re so no like that unless someone really pisses us off and then we stand together.’

It was recently revealed that Sarah no longer speaks to old pal Jordan after she commented on bandmate Cheryl Cole’s marriage situation.

But it seems the girls aren’t interested in a public slanging match.

‘Some people can get a bit carried away about getting into catfights and trying to get publicity,’ they admit.

‘There’s nothing attractive about being in a bitchfest.’

Girls Aloud are currently number one in the UK singles chart with The Promise.
