Ben Stiller says his wife and children ensure he remains down to earth.

‘Family is the real stuff,’ said Ben. ‘It keeps you grounded in life.’

‘You have to have a balance when you’re working in this business.

‘The time you spend not working becomes much more important when you have kids.’

Ben, 42, has Ella, 6, and Quinlin, 3, with his actress wife Christine Taylor.

They both lent their voices to a scene in his new animated film Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

'It’s fun to be in something that kids can enjoy,' says Ben.

'My daughter is excited to see it because she knows they’re in there somewhere.'
