Kerry Katona: I hadn't been drinking before TV appearance on This Morning

Reality TV star thinks Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield were unfair

Kerry Katona insists she was sober on ITV1 show This Morning

Kerry Katona has hit back at reports she was drunk during an interview on This Morning.

The reality TV star shocked viewers last week when she slurred her words on the ITV show.

Presenters Phillip Schofield, 46, and Fern Britton, 51, were so concerned they asked her if she was OK.

But Kerry says she was suffering side-effects of the medication she takes for her bipolar disorder.

‘Saying I was drunk is ignorant and arrogant,’ she claims.

‘Why didn’t Schofield ask me about my condition on air and help explain my slurring was due to my illness and medication?

'I think this is all very wrong. I would take action against him but I want to see what happens first.’

Kerry, 27, says she wasn’t out boozing the night before.

‘That’s b******* because I was doing a TV show until 11.30 at night,’ she tells the Sunday People.

‘Then I went back to the K West Hotel in West London with Mark.’

Her rep Max Clifford defended the ITV hosts last week: 'I don't think it's fair to blame Fern and Phil at all.

'They have always been very, very kind to Kerry.'
