Actress's daughter arrives a week late

Ryan Thomas and Tina O'Brien met each other on Coronation Street

Tina O’Brien has given birth to her first child with partner Ryan Thomas.

The former Coronation Street star delivered a daughter at Manchester General Hospital at 8.28am yesterday morning.

The little girl, who weighed 7lb 1oz, was a week overdue.

‘Tina’s due date was last Monday and she was getting a bit anxious,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘She was desperate to hold her little girl and tried out all the tips to induce birth. They are so pleased and relieved. Both mum and baby are doing very well.’

Tina, 25, and Ryan, 24, have named the newborn Scarlett Jacqueline Thomas.

The couple got together in 2004 and played onscreen husband and wife Jason Grimshaw and Sarah-Louise Platt.
